Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudharshan Reddy Orders Complete Distribution of SIR Enumeration Forms by July 7

Overview The SIR exercise is being accelerated across Telangana. On 6 July 2026, the Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudharshan Reddy instructed all district collectors to finish the distribution of enumeration forms by 7 July 2026. Key Developments District collectors, especially in Hyderabad, Medchal and Rangareddy, must ensure 100 % distribution of forms. Supervisors are to assist BLOs and identify areas needing help. Local volunteers will be mobilised to help voters fill the forms; contact numbers of supervisors will be publicised. Existing 16 help desks in Hyderabad will be supplemented with new desks wherever required. Every completed form must bear the voter’s photograph and signatures of both the voter and the BLO. Electoral Registration Officers and their assistants will conduct extensive field visits and begin digitising the forms. Rationalisation of polling stations will be undertaken to keep families together. Additional training for BLOs and supervisors on the enumeration process will be organised. BLOs will hold meetings with political parties to create awareness about the SIR drive.
