PMGKAY initially provided 5 kg free grain/month to 81.35 crore NFSA beneficiaries during COVID-19 (April 2020 onwards). Extended multiple times. From January 2024, PMGKAY merged with the National Food Security Act (NFSA) — making free grain (5 kg/month) permanent under NFSA. Now 81.35 crore people get free grain under NFSA permanently.
PM POSHAN (formerly Mid-Day Meal Scheme) provides hot cooked meals to school children in Classes 1-8 in government and government-aided schools. Renamed as PM Poshan Shakti Nirman in 2021. Covers 11.80 crore children in 11.20 lakh schools. One of the world's largest school feeding programmes. Budget FY2025-26: ₹12,500 crore.

PMFBY provides comprehensive crop insurance against non-preventable natural risks from pre-sowing to post-harvest. One of world's largest crop insurance programmes. ₹1.55 lakh crore claims paid since 2016; 4+ crore farmers insured annually. Voluntary for non-loanee farmers since 2020. Technology: drones, satellites for loss assessment.

Soil Health Card Scheme provides soil health cards to farmers with crop-wise nutrient recommendations to improve soil health and reduce input costs. Phase I: 10.73 crore cards (2015-17). RSBY provided health insurance of Rs 30,000/year to BPL families before being subsumed into Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY in 2018. Launched April 2008. Covered 5 crore BPL families. Samagra Shiksha integrates Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA), and Teacher Education (TE) into one scheme for school education from pre-primary to Class 12. Budget FY2025-26: ₹37,500 crore. Implements NEP 2020. Covers 1.2 million schools, 15.6 crore students.
