DDRC accelerates Uppada coastal wall construction and ghats development in Kakinada

Key Points

1. Kakinada DDRC approved construction of a temporary protection wall along Uppada coastal belt.
2. Irrigation facilities approved to save 2 TMC of water from Yeleru reservoir.
3. Construction of 11 ghats along the river Godavari in Kakinada district approved.
4. Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board proposed the protection wall at an estimated cost of ₹16 crore.
5. ₹18 crore allocated for works of the Yeleru reservoir system.
6. ₹55 lakhs allocated for developing 11 ghats for Godavari pushkarams-2027.
7. Digitisation of records of 72 Primary Agriculture Credit Societies completed.
8. Kharif 2025-26 paddy procurement target to be exceeded.
