  1. MoUs signed with 17 leading institutions under Gyan Bharatam Initiative on October 25, 2025.
  2. Gyan Bharatam is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Culture.
  3. The initiative aims to safeguard, preserve, and revitalize India’s manuscript heritage.
  4. Gyan Bharatam includes 12 Cluster Centres and 5 Independent Centres across India.
  5. The initiative focuses on five core verticals: Survey & Cataloguing, Conservation & Capacity Building, Technology & Digitization, Linguistics & Translation, and Research, Publication & Outreach.
  6. Gyan Bharatam was announced in Union Budget 2025–26 (Para 84).
  7. The initiative envisions the creation of a National Digital Repository (NDR).
