The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has rolled out Modernisation Plan‑IV for the CAPFs. The plan aims to upgrade weapons, surveillance, communication, mobility and infrastructure to meet emerging security challenges.

- Induction of modern firearms such as assault rifles, Glock pistols with Corner Shot systems.
