Overview The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has announced that its flagship youth engagement initiative, Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) , has surpassed 2 crore registrations. Key Developments Launch and Objectives MY Bharat was launched on 31st October 2023 , by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on National Unity Day . The platform is designed as a technology-driven solution for youth aged 15–29 years , connecting young citizens from rural and urban areas. Its primary objectives are to empower youth to learn, serve, and lead through various nation-building opportunities. National Youth Programmes MY Bharat serves as a hub for national youth programs, including: Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Viksit Bharat Padyatra Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Network and Collaborations The platform has created over 14.5 lakh volunteering opportunities and connects a network of over 16,000 youth club members and 60,000+ institutional partners, including government departments, educational institutions, and NGOs. Collaborations with organizations like Reliance and other corporate partners have facilitated impactful programs and bootcamps. Phygital Approach MY Bharat operates as a phygital (physical + digital) platform, bridging online engagement with on-ground impact.
