PM GatiShakti National Master Plan – Integrated Infrastructure Planning The PM GatiShakti National Master Plan ( PMGS NMP ) is designed to bring together central ministries, states and Union Territories for data‑driven, synchronized execution of roads, rail, ports, power, aviation and other critical assets. Key Developments (as of 2026) Launched in October 2021 and continuously expanded. All 58 central ministries/departments and 36 states/UTs have been onboarded. More than 1,800 data layers integrated; 65+ software modules and 100+ mobile/web apps available on the public portal ( ugi.pmgatishakti.gov.in ). The Network Planning Group ( NPG ) has evaluated 396 projects worth about ₹18.66 lakh crore . Out of these, 256 projects have been sanctioned. Currently, 198 projects are under implementation. Logistics cost in India estimated at 7.9 % of GDP (2025 assessment by DPIIT & NCAER), comparable to advanced economies. Study by IIM Bangalore shows that each rupee spent on National Highways generates ₹3.2 of GDP.
