PM SVANidhi Street Food Hub Approved for Lakhanpur, J&K – Boost to Pilgrims, Tourists and Vendors

Overview The Union Government has approved the creation of a Street Food Hub at Lakhanpur in Kathua district, Jammu & Kashmir. The project is part of the PM SVANidhi programme and comes at a time when the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra is in full swing. Key Developments Approval granted by the Government of India for a 1,754.25 sq m hub across two clusters – near the Old Bus Stand and the Sales Tax Office. Financial assistance of ₹4 crore to be released in three instalments (30%, 50%, 20%). An additional incentive of ₹25 lakh for Lakhanpur after its Street Vending Plan is notified.
