- Sacred Buddha Relics from India will be exhibited in Bhutan from 8th to 18th November 2025.
- The exposition coincides with the 70th birth anniversary of Jigme Singye Wangchuk, the fourth King of Bhutan.
- Dr. Virendra Kumar, Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, will lead the Indian delegation.
- The relics will be enshrined at the Kuenrey Hall of Tashichho Dzong in Thimphu.
- The International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) will organize three exhibitions: Guru Padmasambhava, Sacred Legacy of the Shakyas, and Life and Teachings of the Buddha.
- This is the second time the relics have been to Bhutan, the first being in 2011.
- Buddhism has been a cornerstone of Bhutanese identity for centuries, influencing its culture and the philosophy of Gross National Happiness (GNH).
