About the Scheme

Third phase of immunization campaign launched to achieve 90% full immunization coverage. Targets children and pregnant women through mission mode intervention with 15-day intensive campaigns.

Target Beneficiaries: Children and pregnant women missed in routine immunization. Focused on reaching unreached population for full immunization coverage.

Implementing Agency: Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, in collaboration with State Health Departments and District Administrations.

  • Implemented in two rounds across 250 districts/urban areas.
  • Focus on children up to 2 years of age and pregnant women.

  • Children up to 2 years of age who have missed doses or are partially vaccinated.

▶Application Process

  • Identification of eligible beneficiaries by ASHA workers and ANMs during household surveys.

  • Verification of eligibility and vaccination history.
  • Administration of required vaccine doses by trained health personnel.
  • Recording of vaccination status on MCP cards and digital platforms.

Integrated into the budget for the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP) under the National Health Mission (NHM).
