Key Points

  1. CBDT achieved targets under Special Campaign 5.0 for Swachhata and Disposal of Pending Matters.
  2. The campaign was conducted in two phases: Preparatory Phase (15th–30th September 2025) and Implementation Phase (2nd–31st October 2025).
  3. 1,521 cleanliness campaigns were conducted, exceeding the target of 947.
  4. CBDT freed up 1.67 lakh sq. ft. of office space and earned revenue of ₹32.0 lakh from the sale of scrap.
  5. 21,251 public grievances were disposed of, surpassing the initial target of 20,954 cases.
  6. DARPG recognized the "Digital File Inventory and Space Optimization" initiative in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana as a best practice.
  7. The Income Tax Department launched a QR code–based File Inventory Mobile App in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana.
  8. The Income Tax Office, Kolkata transformed a waste-filled area into a conference hall named “Indraprastha.”
