Inauguration of the Department of Military Medicine
On 29 July 2026, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh virtually inaugurated the Department of Military Medicine at the Command Hospital (Central Command), Lucknow. The department is set up under the Directorate General of Medical Services (DGMS) and will become the core hub for the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS).
