Department of Land Resource and Government of Andhra Pradesh to Host National Watershed Conference in Guntur from November 10-11, 2025

1. National Watershed Conference to be held in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh from November 10-11, 2025.
2. The conference will review the implementation progress of the Watershed Development Component of PMKSY 2.0.
3. Watershed Mahotsav will be celebrated nationwide to promote public participation in watershed development.
4. Mission Watershed Punarutthan will be launched to repair assets created under earlier watershed projects.
5. Union Minister Shri Shivaraj Singh Chouhan and Ministers of State Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani and Shri Konidala Pawan Kalyan will attend the launch of Watershed Mahotsav.
6. WDC-PMKSY 2.0 is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme for the development of rainfed and degraded lands.
7. The scheme is implemented by the Department of Land Resources (DoLR), Ministry of Rural Development.
8. The scheme covers all states and the UTs of J&K and Ladakh.
