Jammu & Kashmir to Host Launch of First Limestone Block Auction Roadshow

Key Points

1. First limestone block auction in Jammu & Kashmir to be launched on November 24, 2025.
2. The auction is led by Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Coal & Mines.
3. Seven limestone blocks covering approximately 314 hectares have been identified.
4. The blocks are located in Anantnag, Rajouri, and Poonch districts.
5. The limestone blocks are categorized under UNFC G3 and G4 exploration stages.
6. Auction is conducted under subsections (4) and (5) of Section 11 of the MMDR Act.
7. The initiative aims to contribute to Viksit Bharat 2047.
