Overview On 10 September 2024 , Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi chaired the first Governing Board meeting of the ANRF . The session reviewed India’s science‑technology ecosystem and announced a suite of mission‑mode programmes designed to align research with national priorities, promote inclusive growth and tighten the link between academic research and industrial application. Key Developments MAHA programme launched five priority missions: Electric Vehicle (EV) Mission , 2D Innovation Hub , MedTech Mission , AI for Science and Engineering and CRM Research Programme .
