Prime Minister Narendra Modi ने 10 Sept 2024 को <span class="key-term" data-definition="Anusandhan National Research Foundation – a statutory body set up to fund and coordinate high‑impact research across India (GS3: Science & Technology)">ANRF</span> की प्रारम्भिक Governing Board बैठक का संचालन किया, जिसमें <span class="key-term" data-definition="Mission for Advancement in High‑impact Areas – a mission‑mode scheme to drive multi‑disciplinary, solution‑oriented research in priority sectors (GS3: Science & Technology)">MAHA</span> पोर्टफोलियो, <span class="key-term" data-definition="National Quantum Mission – an eight‑year, ₹6003.65 crore initiative to develop quantum computing, communication, sensing and materials (GS3: Science & Technology)">NQM</span> और <span class="key-term" data-definition="National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber‑Physical Systems – a programme to create technology‑innovation hubs for AI, robotics, autonomous systems and smart manufacturing (GS3: Science & Technology)">NM‑ICPS</span> जैसे प्रमुख कार्यक्रमों का अनावरण किया गया। बैठक ने अनुदान, फेलोशिप और सेंटर‑ऑफ़‑एक्सीलेंस मॉडल की रूपरेखा प्रस्तुत की, जिसका उद्देश्य शैक्षणिक‑औद्योगिक अंतर को पाटना, समावेशी विकास को बढ़ावा देना और भारत को उभरती तकनीकों में वैश्विक नेता के रूप में स्थापित करना है।
Overview On 10 September 2024 , Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi chaired the first Governing Board meeting of the ANRF . The session reviewed India’s science‑technology ecosystem and announced a suite of mission‑mode programmes designed to align research with national priorities, promote inclusive growth and tighten the link between academic research and industrial application. Key Developments MAHA programme launched five priority missions: Electric Vehicle (EV) Mission , 2D Innovation Hub , MedTech Mission , AI for Science and Engineering and CRM Research Programme . Broad‑based grant schemes introduced: ARG , PMECRG , and IRG . Establishment of CoE for tackling problems at the science‑society interface. Launch of NQM with four thematic hubs at IISc Bengaluru, IIT Madras, IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi. Inauguration of NM‑ICPS , deploying Technology Innovation Hubs across premier institutions.
